We have been looking for a house on the Outer Banks for
four years and we have worked with several real estate
agents before we found success with Jack Marshall. He was
consistently prompt and responsive to questions and
requests for information. He uses e-mail effectively and
called when he had to discuss urgent issues. On visits, he
took the time to show houses and discuss information at a
pace and time of our choosing. Never pushy, always
friendly and courteous, Jack was very easy to work with.
The result was our purchase of a very nice house at a
reasonable price that proceeded smoothly to fit our plans.
In looking back at our purchase, we can sincerely say that
working with Jack made it far less stressful and
significantly easier than we anticipated. Jack
Marshall’s approach, personality and dedication were the
reasons. When all is said and done, we consider Jack to be

It is with great pleasure that I supply this letter of
reference for Jack Marshall. We recently worked closely
with Jack to purchase our first beach home on the Outer
Banks of North Carolina. This purchase has been a dream of
ours for some time.
I should note that before committing to working with Jack,
we talked to several different real estate offices and
real estate agents throughout the Northern Outer Banks.
One thing that was somewhat frustrating in these dealings,
is that on many occasions, it took days for these
individuals to respond to each question or inquiry. This
was particularly concerning, as it is currently a sellers
market, and some attractive homes went under contract
within hours of being listed. This was however, NEVER the
case with Jack. He always responded quickly, and called us
as soon as a home meeting our requirements came on the
market. Jack was always willing to quickly head off for
the home and described it to us initially over this Cell
phone. I should note that our search was not an easy one,
and we ran Jack around quite a bit. The home we finally
purchased was the 4th property we put an offer in on.
Never the less, Jack remained enthusiastic, professional
and extremely responsive.
When we were becoming frustrated with the search and were
unable to find the right home, Jack went the extra step of
writing to owners of appropriate homes letting them know
of our interest in their home. Ultimately, that is how the
home we purchased was located. I am convinced that if we
had chosen to work with some of the other agents we had
spoken to, we would STILL be looking for a home.
So as you can see, I am glad to provide the highest
recommendation of Jack Marshall to anyone looking at
purchasing property on the Outer banks. I would be glad to
provide whatever additional information or input you may

Hi Jack,
I'm really enjoying my new home and just bought an ocean
kayak to play with on the sound. Meeting lots of nice
people around here as I explore with a new set of
resident-eyes versus just being a tourist. My neighbors
